Course Prerequisites

• Eligibility: You must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, at least 18 years old, and have logged 100 dives.
• Skills Assessment: A pre-course skills assessment with a PADI Self-Reliant Diver Instructor is required.

Course Journey

Embark on a comprehensive learning path, combining classroom sessions, pool training, and ocean dives:

• Classroom Session: Learn interactively with your instructor and fellow divers, focusing on equipment and techniques for self-reliant diving.
• Pool Session: Practice full-face mask diving skills and equipment handling in a controlled environment.
• Ocean Dives at La Jolla Shores: Apply your new skills during two ocean dives, showcasing your abilities to your instructor and dive buddies.

What's Included and Not Included

• Instructional and pool fees, along with the certification card.
• Not Included: Backup computer, bailout cylinder with regulator, and rental equipment are additional.
